We’re part of the Phoenix COMMUNITY: We aren’t just any automotive repair shop...Sure, we fix cars, but we are so much more. At 180° Degrees Automotive we are proud to be a locally, woman-owned business. We are a neighborhood business in the Melrose | Pierson Place district of central Phoenix and involved with our neighborhood association.

Our custom designed lobby hosts a range of community... events including various charity fund-raisers, art exhibits, and even baby showers! Our shop features a small art gallery where local artist are invited to exhibit their work. We also offer a small retail space where our customers can browse handcrafted gifts from Phoenix-based artisans.

Educating our community and customers is also very important to us. We offer free classes in basic car care designed by Bogi Lateiner from All Girls Garage on a regular basics. Check out the below posts for the latest event and community news.

Choosing a car repair shop

p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica} Car care can seem scary, but it doesn’t have to be! Many of us feel vulnerable bringing our cars to mechanics because we don't know technical terms, or are afraid of being taken advantage of. So how do you find a good shop? And how do you know the shop you’ve chosen is the right one for you? Check out these videos and see what Bogi recommends when looking for a new mechanic. Video: Fuel Injectors

What are fuel injectors and how often do you need to service them?   Fuel injectors atomize the fuel in your car into smaller particles, making it more combustible.  Over time, fuel injectors get clogged up, which prevents the fuel from atomizing and burning properly.    But how often do you actually have to service your fuel injectors? Check out this video and see what Bogi recommends!

Video: Oil service intervals

How often do you actually need to change your oil? It is one of the most commonly asked questions in the automotive industry. Do you go by the old rule of 3,000 miles or 3 months, or do you follow your manufacturer's recommendations?  Oil is the lifeblood of your car, and too much preventative maintenance could be better than too little. Changing oil is kind of like brushing your teeth. Can you get away with brushing your teeth only once a week? Yeah, you can probably get away with it, but the results might not be the best for your oral health and personal life! The same rule of thumb applies to oil changes. Check out this video and see what Bogi recommends for your oil service intervals

Spending anywhere from $100 to $300 on a pre-purchase inspection can help you potentially save thousands of dollars in the future!

Phoenix Community Alliance

Phoenix Community Alliance

Austin had the pleasure of giving a brief presentation at the Phoenix Community Alliance event ART WORKS PHX at the new Found:RE space on Central Ave.  We love our local artist community, and we were thrilled  to have a chance to share with other businesses our artist space and how we help promote their work along with being able to enjoy the exhibit ourselves with our busy schedules. Every 3 months we switch the artist that is displayed in our lobby area.  We take lower commission of the art sales because we aren’t an official art gallery and we like to help support up and coming artists.   On First Friday, we hold a reception for the artist in their honor.  It’s a great way to have their friends and family and our customers show their support, and get to know different artists in the community or even about us and what 180* Auto has to offer!   During the reception, along with supporting the artists exhibit, people come to us and a ... read more
